13th INTERNATIONAL KARSTOLOGICAL SCHOOL ?CLASSICAL KARST?

13th International Karstological School "CLASSICAL KARST" - Karst in various rocks

In 2005 we shall meet at the 13th International Karstological School "CLASSICAL KARST" already. The attention of the 13th Karstological School will be devoted to karst in various rocks. Karst phenomena do not appear in limestone and dolomite only but are found in other rocks: gypsum, flysch, conglomerates, slope breccias, marble, chalk, salt... By the chosen topic we wish to introduce the range and diversity of karst in the world. We also expect discussion related to processes forming karst in various rocks. We invite experts, young scientists, students, planners of life on karst and all persons attracted by karst to participate at this school.

Registration fee is 12.000 SIT (50 EUR). Students are free of registration fee, if they submit school-confirmation. The official language is English. Selected papers will be afterwards published in Acta Carsologica. The abstracts must be submitted in English until the registration deadline

April 15th 2005.

To book the necessary rooms and space, to prepare the materials and to plan the excursions, we are kindly asking the participants, the lecturers in particular, to confirm their participation by returning the fulfilled form attached as soon as possible but not later than to

April 15th 2005.

Registration will not be possible after this deadline. In May 2005 all the registered persons will receive the Second Circular including the detailed program of the School.
