Location: Karst Research Institute at ZRC SAZU, Postojna, Slovenia

You are cordially invited to 15th International Karstological School ?Classical Karst? organised by the Karst Research Institute at ZRC SAZU. Karstological School will be held between June 18 to June 22, 2007 in Postojna, Slovenia, .

In the past schools we thoroughly recognised some aspects and peculiarities of karst and karst features, and during the last one the emphasis was on the question how to preserve a brittle balance between natural resources on karst and human interventions. This year the main topic will be management of karst water resources with a special emphasis on aquifers shared between different countries or administrative authorities.

Registration fee is 80 EUR. Regular undergraduate students are free to attend, if they submit the school confirmation. The school is included into EU Marie Curie Conferences and Training Courses, and school participants can obtain a grant which covers travel and living expenses, and registration fee. Authors of contributions are further asked to submit their abstracts in English up to the date cited above on the e-mail izrk@zrc-sazu.si. After this deadline the registration will not be possible. Short scientific papers will be published on the CD, the template for paper is available on http://www.zrc-sazu.si/iks/english.htm. Submission of short papers is optional, the deadline is 1st June  2007. Authors of selected papers will be asked to write full scientific papers for the publication in Acta carsologica.
